That seems to be a given regardless of whether it's Clinton or Obama who receives the nomination. But claiming that it looks as if Obama is only going to carry his home state in the general election is something else altogether, especially if it's only based on the idea that the media hasn't vetted him sufficiently. The media relentlessly attacked Gore and attacked Kerry pretty strongly and both still managed to garner near-majorities of the popular vote.

The Repugs will throw anything that they can at Obama if he is our nominee. I believe that any potential Democratic nominee would have everything thrown at them that the Repugs can throw.
