in 2004 Kerry got more African American votes than Al Sharpton |
|
including in Sharpton's own home state of New York. not only did he get more. but in most states he got over 60 and even 80 percent of the vote.
if Obama is where he is just because he is black then why didn't Sharpton do better. especially with african american voters ?
people bring up Obama running against Keyes to say he had an easy race. but he has run in this Primary and he has done well and beat Hillary in one on one debates.

3. Don't be silly. Blacks are all racist and won't vote for white people. I read it on DU. |

4. Can't be true! Blacks only vote for Blacks! |
|
That's why in the PA's governor's race, the Black football player Lynn Swann got 12% of the Black vote and the white former-mayor Fast Eddie Rendell got 87% of the Black vote!
:sarcasm: <--- I shouldn't need to add this but there are those who frequent this board who truly believe that "2nd place = 1st place" and "losing = winning", so in their Bizarro world, I need to add this footnote.
