It is time for Jimmy Carter and Ted Kennedy to appear together...
..to stop the circular firing squad--and to remind us all of what will happen if Hillary's scortched earth policy continues...They know better than anyone how this will end up.

Yeah, I know Pres. Carter has been neutral--but it's that "fierce urgency of now" moment that MLK and Obama speak of.

1. They should get together with Fritz Mondale and Gary Hart.
Edited on Wed Mar-12-08 08:29 AM by Spider Jerusalem
On edit: Mondale was the Party insider, safe choice, establishment candidate; Hart was the young insurgent who brought enthusiastic new voters...superdelegates gave Mondale the nomination, and Reagan beat him like a gong.

5. I see it a little differently than you do.
Obama needs to accept the VP offer now or shortly after he looses Pennsylvania. Obama needs to stop being the party divider.

10. You aren't being a party divider if you have more popular votes

11. Unfortunately, this issue needs to be corrected
or resolved, something needs to change before the Convention. I sense there will be a meeting of the two Candidates by Mid-May. The Flordia and Michigan votes need to be counted and we still have several big Primaries left on the calander...thus the delegate issue has not concluded.

12. I suspect you're right about a possible meeting around mid-May
I'd certainly like to see these issues resovled before the convention.

14. The math does not look good at all for HRC
Whether or not both the Michigan and Florida delegates are seated. It will be very impossible for her to win the popular vote when it is all said and done.

15. The math is unpredictable at this point.
Very semi-permeable, like a kidney or filter, at this phase.

I think the two will broker an agreement. Post-Pennsylvania Primary, this will evoke the meeting.:applause:

16. Let's hope so, but I doubt it
My guess is that this goes to the convention.

17. I went thru all the intensity of the campaigns in Ohio.
OMG it was high velocity, no time to sleep kind of intensity. Reminded me of working the Emergency Trauma Center, Level I (which I do 2 days a month)on a hot summer, Saturday night on the 4th of July!

So, fatigue will set in with Obama and Clinton after Pennsylvania. I see Pennsylvania being just as rough if not worse than Ohio's Primary if that is possible. Of course, I'm nutz and am going to Pa. to work the campaign there on long weekends and a week before the Primary.

I wish you the best. All of this partisan bickering is getting old. I want a nominee so we can get ready to battle McLame. I don't care who it is. I just want the best nominee we have to get the nomination so we can win the general election.
