Hillary's chances vs a divided party |
|
Hillary is literally trailing in every aspect of this race and Obama now has a wider lead than he did before Texas and Ohio. Hillary will need to win the rest of the remaining 10 contests by 64%. Does anyone think this can realistically happen, even including a do over in Florida and Michigan?
Now she has Geraldine Ferraro saying that if Obama wasn't black, he wouldn't even be in this race when Obama has successfully been elected as a Senator, a position she's ran for twice and lost. So Obama fires a staff member for calling Hillary a monster and Geraldine gets a free pass for blatant race baiting.
No matter how anyone spins this, Hillary doesn't stand a chance. All the money, time and attacks being used to fight for the democratic nomination are all resources that should be utilized against McCain right now. Hillary is the one blowing this up and when Obama is the nominee, the democratic party will have suffered because of it.

1. We have 6 weeks to make nice, or no Dem will win come November. |

You hate Clinton, and many hate Obama. As much as I don't want them both on the same ticket, the reality is that America does.
We can destroy the party further, or we can now join forces and solidify the party and take the White House come November.

3. Fair enough - then how about we both agree to concede to the candidate with the most votes? |

6. Neither of us are running, and w/o a joint ticket many of one side will stay home. |
|
It's a reality in the real world, but this forum (very pro Obama) does not represent it.
You, nor I have to like it, but for the good of the party we will have to deal with it.
So, we can keep moving down this path of divide and conquer or we can move forward together and win in November.

2. I agree, the primaries and Clinton's career are over |
|
She can carry on for awhile, but she'll be lucky if she can hold on to her Senate seat at this point. Maybe her and Spitzer can scout out some good fishing spots in the coming years though.

4. For some reason I like it |
|
I support Obama.
But, I can't help but like the fact that she doesn't care what gets in her way. Part of me grudgingly admires that that she'd throw everyone and their mother under the bus to become president.
Maybe I'm nuts, but my dark side likes insane single-minded ambition.

5. I don't like it. It scares me. No one who needs power that badly should |
|
be allowed anywhere near it. It's not a good character trait, sorry. It's narcissism.
