3. Same goes for McCain...
If his daddy and grand-daddy hadn't been Rear Admirals, that incompetent twit would have been discharged long before he ever got to Vietnam.

7. Thank you!
Does anyone realize HOW MUCH MORE DIFFICULT those without "names" or "entree" have it!!!?????

Please give Barack Obama his due--he rose from a "nothing" resume to make a name for himself. (To be fair, Bill Clinton did, too. However, Hillary--not so much!)

8. Wasn't it the late, great Ann Richards who said about Bush...
He was born on third base, and thinks he hit a triple.

10. Yes, yes she did say this! And, it's so true!
I respect the "unknowns" FAR more than those with "names" going into the primaries!

21. And the name he made for himself was something to overcome as well ...
I remember that one of the members of the black caucus was wearing an Obama button when meeting with Bush.
Bush did a double-take misreading the button to say "Osama."

It was the Brits (Scotland, Ireland, etc.) who moved here for King George of Britain and then they had a revolution. The Brits sent the prisoners and trouble makers here to colonize it (like Australia,Canada, etc.). At that time in history, the British Empire ruled the seas and a lot of land around the world. They traded and controlled it all the way to Africa in the end.

Also the religious groups fled here and they who were mostly white from Europe...like Quakers, Pilgrims, Baptists, etc. The British didn't want any other religious group than Anglicans under their rule. The Dutch seeking religious freedom settled in NY State area and the Quakers in Pennsylvania.

The black people had Africa and didn't wonder far from it. They didn't have the means to leave or move to America before the Empires of the West (French, British, Dutch, etc.) made them slaves.

Like it or not white Europeans were the makers of America (defeating and destroying the already here..."brown" Indians). If the Indians ganged up on the new whites in America (had weapons, etc.) the first President of the American democracy would have been "brown".

The North Eastern tribes did form their own democracy with their confederacy but they didn't have the weapons to defeat the invaders.

Spain and France were at war with the British so they didn't have the means to win America.

Like it or not democracy and our first President would have been a white or brown leader. Why are you angry that the first President (who risked his life and even contributed his own money) was white? You were born in a democracy. Let's hope all races can benefit now. To keep it is not a racial problem but a duty every American must make.

In the future the new President of the Americas will be "brown". There are more "brown" people coming here from S.America. It's just plain majority and money rule. If a person from a minority has a good plan and agenda with monied elite behind them, they could be President. Just race alone won't do it. Follow the money.

12. George W. Bush wouldn't be where he is if
his Grandpa wasn't a senator, his daddy wasn't the former head of CIA/Vice President/President/Guy who helped fill up the Supreme Court/the guy who bailed his son out of everything he did, whether by $$$, name, or "coercion" ...

13. Actually, if his name had been George W. Smith, he'd probably
be CEO of a McDonald's Restaurant, not a country. Which makes me wonder . . . oh, never mind.

We'd all be living in the 6th Reich.

But Geraldine Ferraro and her supporters would still be racists.
