It all seems so familiar - The more Clinton loses support, the angrier her supporters become
Hillary is alienating hundreds of thousands of left-leaning voters, if not millions. One by one, blogs are hopping off the fence into Obama's yard. One by one, liberal radio hosts are doing the same. As are liberal writers. Some of them never supported Clinton and are finally tossing neutrality out the window. Others have been, as they would say themselves, disillusioned or driven from her campaign in disgust. And we're about to see Keith Olbermann throw his opinion into the same column tonight.

And what would you expect? Promoting McCain over her Democratic opponent? Floating the idea of subverting the will of the voters by using her party insider connections with super-delegates? Dropping the race card again and again? Going pure Rove with a fear campaign? And not to mention ... her voting record? Of course she's losing support. And the response from her dwindling faithful? It's as predicable as it is familiar: "Hillary-haters!" We're supposed to somehow believe that all the criticism she's getting now is not stemmed from rational thought or facts, but rather a kind of mental illness causing irrational hatred of Hillary Clinton. I seem to remember another politician seeking to defend himself with such nonsense starting in 2003.

This is not to say that irrational "Hillary Hate" does not exist. It is certainly a very real thing. But the victims of this mental illness are the AM-radio fed right-wing morons who have received thought instructions from Rush Limbaugh and his lessers since 1992. For sixteen solid years, Hillary Clinton has been a target of vitriol and frothing anger from every right-wing blowhard with a microphone, probably hatched from their deep-seated fear and resentment of a strong woman who has the temerity leave the kitchen without say-so. And now those morons are voting for Clinton for the same reason they do everything else: Rush Limbaugh told them to do it. "Ditto Rush!"

So, Hillary supporters, if anything, she is benefiting from Hillary Hatred, not suffering from it. Much like Nader's financial support in 2004, Clinton has been hijacked as a tool of the Right to shoot down the Democratic front-runner. And mucc like Lieberman, she's looking at the very voters who have turned on her and she's saying: "I'll go around you." And as her support within the party continues to drop, her supporters get louder and angrier and more obtuse, all the more able to press their hands against their ears and cry "lalalalala!" The inability to defend her on material grounds is showing.

The growing criticism and anger toward her on DU is not the right-wing mental illness, it's a simple consequence of witnessing how she has conducted her campaign.

13. Oh yes, everyone is out to get Hillary.
All the liberal blogs, pundits, leading politicians, and supporters. We're all in some vast left wing conspiracy to unseat her majesty from the prize she claimed before she ever won. It was hillary's turn, damn it - and you've defended her for years - so in her win, you finally have the retribution you desire.

Do I have that about right?

27. true - facts are not important - -seems in terms of numbers the number of Hillary supports pissed at
Obama may a few times the other way around.

Obama is tearing the party apart with his race card playing over Hillary "supporters comments we can't control" (that is a quote from Obama as he pretends innocence).

Accusing EVERYBODY who supports Obama as a hater.

I find it profoundly sad that you issue these posts without realizing how bad it makes you look or how it contributes to the ill will around here.

3. Seems to me most anger is spouted by the Obama supporters who labial everything "racist"
and threaten violence if they don't get the candidate of their choice.

32. What? I haven't read anything of that order
unless it's hiding in Obama threads, which I don't read. An attack on someone who has suspended his campaign is a fine way to get people to come over to your side. But, I'm finding that Obama supporters don't think. They bully. They have been winning state after state and have become more and more aggressive with each win. I have never seen this happen before, in all my 40 years of voting. To tell you the truth, it has become frightening. Everyone is getting attacked unless they "join" your side. It really is getting cult-like.

30. So let me see.
When a Hillary supporter says something rediculous (which they do all the time) it is just supporting their candidate.

When an Obama supporter says something rediculous (which they do all the time) it is hate-mongering, anti-Hillary, sexist, baby-eating evil.

Do I have that right as well?
Gotcha.

18. You are not being fair. Not everything is racist in fact I only think that
these 3 things were racial in tone:

1. Bill Clinton's Jesse Jackson comment while not racist was a "bad" dig.

2. Rendell's comment was racist in tone.

3. Ferraro was CLEARLY a racially charged statement

The "fairy tale" thing in all fairness was NEVER touted by Obama's campaign as racist (it was not by the way); blame the MSM for that.

19. Clintons lost me after years of protecting BushInc and undermining other Dem leaders
during their campaigns.

And it has been noticed - Brinkley observed this in April2004:
http://www.depauw.edu/news/index.asp?id=13354

Bill spent his entire book tour in 2004 defending Bush and supporting his decisions on terrorism and Iraq war.
http://www.cnn.com/2004/US/06/19/clinton.iraq/

Carville sabotaged Ohio Dem voters.
http://www.tpmcafe.com/blog/coffeehouse/2006/oct/07/did_carville_tip_bush_off_to_kerry_strategy_woodward

Hillary validated Bush and McCain's smear of Kerry:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dk1k0nUWEQg

And Bill was key to the protection of BushInc throughout the 90s, using the claim of needed cooperation and that Bush deserved a peaceful retirement.
