Does HRC winning Indies and Repubs in MS put an end to the idea that BHO only wins open primaries?
http://www.cnn.com/ELECTION/2008/primaries/results/epolls/#MSDEM

(White) independents: HRC 55%, BHO 40% (no black independents reported)
Republicans: HRC 76%, BHO 24%

Essentially, he won a majority of DEMOCRATS, which essentially means that he can win a closed Democratic primary, so can we put the Obama can't win a closed primary argument to rest?

2. I think what it should do
is put an end to open primaries. The statistics you cite just reinforce my very long belief that republicans are slime and garbage and evil humans. Their goal is only to effect another parties business.

3. To be honest, I agree about closed primaries
I don't think primaries are necessarily about who anyone wants to see at the top of a ticket. I think it's about who the party members want to see at the top of *their* ticket. If you're not a party member, you shouldn't have a say. If you really want a say, become a party member.

4. Sadly
the open primary system should be a great way to recruit members to your party but when ya got the slime of the gop whose most members have zero conscience it can't be used as such.

5. The state didn't "count" so neither does the fact that Repubs are keeping H.C. in this race. (nt)
