Olbermann targets Hillary Tonight
Olbermann targets Hillary tonight

The Clinton campaign, which protests a lot already about MSNBC's coverage, might have another piece of evidence to use against the network. Keith Olbermann said on yesterday's "Countdown" broadcast that he's giving a "special comment" tonight about Hillary Clinton.

HuffPo's Rachel Sklar notes that the YouTube-friendly "special comments," which typically target the Bush administration, often generate hundreds of thousands of views online.

Of course, it's already been a rocky couple months between the Clinton campaign and the network. Chris Matthews and David Shuster had to issue public apologies for statements directed toward Clinton and her family.

And Tucker Carlson, a harsh critic of top Clinton aides, recently lost his show. While the Clinton campaign wasn't the official reason, I've heard internally that senior news executive Phil Griffin was not happy with Carlson's on-air statements about Clinton staffers

So will Olbermann, who also anchors election night coverage, be the next to suffer the Wolfsonian wrath? Guess we'll see after tonight's show.

11. Of course he has.
Just off the top of my head, he raised the question of whether the Obama campaign was benefitting from having Power's "monster" comment out there even if they had to sacrifice one of their advisors.

The fact that you wrongly believe that MSNBC because is biased because they report facts isn't their problem.

16. Yes, he. called Obama on.....
his lawyer calling into the Clinton conference call, the Powers statement, and put a not to kind comment of Obama being tied to Rezko.

My beef with Olbermann is when he apologized for Schuster over the 'pimp' comment.

4. The real problem is
Edited on Wed Mar-12-08 01:33 PM by fiziwig
that K.O. is consistently anti-bullshit. Everyone thinks that's really great until it's their own bullshit that comes under the gun. Then they whine and complain just like BillO does when his bullshit is under attack.

First, because he is right to do so.
Second, he is their bread and butter.
Third, did I mention he is right to do so?

and he's one of the few in the media willing to call people on their bullshit and put them in their place. Good for him.

23. Yup, many Hillary supporters don't realize how many
people she lost when she turned to this tack. They make excuses which is all well and good but eventually they will need to get her and her staff to quit it before all she has left are freepers supporting her. She's lost all the left wing talk show hosts and commentators, most of them when she used the 3am ad. Right now she's got more republican talking heads on her side then she does Democrats.

he is definitey partisan now, he was not until recently. I noticed an even clearer change with Rachel Maddow, I think she had a slight Clinton bias, not any more.

35. Why?
What more can he possibly say about Hillary that the rest of the media has not said? I am so disappointed with all the Hillary bashing and the Obama praising. What happened to a media that is fair? Are they all afraid to be labeled racists? I can't believe that.

Because me and the rest of us would march torch in hand to keep him there.

But nice to know where your loyalties lie. Once someone does not support Queen Hillary then they are out of a job.

Do me a favor and trade in your DNC card as soon as possible please.
