Look back to 1939. We were an isolationist nation still suffering the effects of a depressed economy.

Then, BOOM! War in Europe...still, we hesistate...but then.....A DAY...Which Will LIVE....In INFAMY!! Next thing ya know, everyone's signing up, the draft is in full swing, and every single industry in America is geared towards WAR WAR WAR!!!!

Big wars, like we don't have anymore, really, were real economic engines. They got the juices flowing....

Perhaps McCain wants to hark back to those simpler, bloodier times...

If we have a "terra" attack, he probably will win. We'll see.

who can the GOP team up with McCain? Colin Powell? Ghouliani?

3. Romney WANTS it....BAD.

But if McCain is clever, he'll pick someone from a big state who can flip it for him, or a swing state. Romney won't deliver MA, and UT will probably go red anyway.

It's all about balancing the ticket with him. Gotta be someone who can take over if he gets sick, too. Younger, but not so young he makes McCain look like Methuselah.

Powell is getting too old--the ticket would be called "Grumpy Old Men." And Alma won't let him, anyway.
