Wes Clark in Las Vegas today speaking |
|
Anyone know about this? I was in Las Vegas this morning, the NV state Dem convention was there this weekend and heard on the news that he would be speaking. I called the Hilton and they said it was by invitation only. The news also said that he was there "speaking" for Kerry. Any one have something to add?

*General Wesley Clark To Address RTNDA@NAB Attendees*
*WASHINGTON*--Gen. Wesley Clark will speak to RTNDA@NAB attendees at a special session slated for 11:45am-12:30pm Monday, April 19, at the Las Vegas Hilton.
General Clark, a decorated Army veteran, ended his quest two months ago to be the Democratic nominee for President. A four-star general, he had a 38-year career in the United States Army. He will speak about military affairs, the situation in Iraq and the war on terrorism. He also will take questions from the audience.
In 1995, General Clark traveled to the Balkans as the military negotiator with Ambassador Richard Holbrooke in a U.S. effort to end the war in Bosnia. A few months later, he played a vital role in ending the war at the Dayton peace talks.
In 1997, after serving as commander-in-chief of the U.S. Southern Command, General Clark was selected for one of the top posts in the military: Supreme Allied Commander of NATO--a position first held by General Eisenhower. As Supreme Allied Commander, General Clark commanded NATO forces during the war in Kosovo.
"With Iraq and terrorism so prominent in the news, General Clark is very timely," says Barbara Cochran, RTNDA president. "We appreciate his willingness to share his views with RTNDA convention attendees."
RTNDA@NAB, the premier conference and exhibition for radio and television news, takes place April 19-21 at the Las Vegas Hilton. RTNDA offers highly specialized courses for radio, television and online journalists, including sessions on writing, reporting, producing, election coverage and management. Attendees also get the tools they need to stay up to date on HIPAA and other reporter access issues, newsroom ethics and more.
Registration is available onsite.

4. Tom Ridge spoke there too. |

National Security was subject for today I guess. I'd prefer to have Wes's take on the subject, maybe he'll have more input next year. We can only hope.
