Why does it always take DAYS for HRC's campaign to change course after a f*ck up? |
|
Edited on Wed Mar-12-08 05:03 PM by Truth Hurts A Lot
Has anyone noticed how slow her response machine is? Her political instincts are not as sharp as Obama's. That's how HRC keeps finding herself in situations where she looks like a hypocrite. Remember how she didn't condemn Callejo in the interview, but then hours later her campaign corrected it? I could cite many other examples like Bob Johnson, etc. but I think we're all familiar with how she is super slow to respond, if she responds at all!

for days before she figures out what to do.

6. SHE didn't get rid of Ferraro. That would have required integrity |
|
Ferraro removed herself and had a very ugly exit speech to go with it.

8. Why did Obama wait days before he spoke up about the race-baiting in SC? |
|
Edited on Wed Mar-12-08 05:01 PM by wlucinda
I'm sure he had his resaons.
Hillary condemed Feraros comments right after Obamas campaign made their statement. But that fact seems to be ignored.

10. It would have been political suicide. He was right to ignore the Clintons |

race baiting. However, Obama's campaign couldn't stop people from noticing and talking about it.

11. No. He knew it wasn't true, but he let it go so it could do damage. |

Jesse Jackson III ran with it and then when people complained, Obama finally stepped up.

9. Focus groups weren't formed and closed in a day y'know |
|
Basically, she's not a leader. As much as she likes to mythically proclaim herself to be one, she's not, and pretty much never has been.
She needs focus groups to convene before making a decision, even if it's a cut-and-dried issue. She chooses to play it "safe" or else she won't be seen as tough or worse! seen as a lefty peacenik.
She is no leader.

12. She's just like Bush. |
|
She surrounds herself with sycophants instead of professionals, and lives inside a little bubble.
She doesn't really comprehend how many people she's alienating, and has little connection with the real world.
It takes days for the sycophants just to screw up the courage to bring up a subject that sounds even slightly critical of her, and she's guaranteed to throw a temper tantrum like a four-year-old when they do. So, like Bush, her campaign stays the course - straight over a cliff.
Just what we need in the Oval Office...

14. Ferraro wasn't done doing maximum damage. Now that race is all |
|
anyone's talking about (and not Obama's win, EXCEPT in context of race--the black/white vote in MS), her suicide mission is accomplished. The media will chew on it from here, and the "affirmative action candidate" seeps into the public consciousness.

Ferraro isn't gone by a long shot - she's just done an "I'm not with the band" move. Now she can continue to whip up racist fervor and HRC can simply smile and say - not my problem. Expect to hear from GF until the Pennsylvania primary is over.
