8. Hillary really does have a "tin ear" when it comes to this kind of stuff.

A DUer predicted this. I can't remember which one, but he/she said Ferraro would be gone today.
Good.

2. Should have happened within minutes of her statement
the damage is done.

And no, I am not an Obama supporter...

I don't care for either.

5. The damage is done but at least it will stop. Ferraro should never have defended her comments.
She made the situation a lot worse before she quit.

4. Trouble is she'll just keep on sniping at Obama in her other "professional role"
That as a Faux news commentator.

This way she can continue her bullshit unabated, and doesn't have the approbation of being fired or repudiated by Hillary, the best of both worlds.

I'm glad that she's out, but it's a cheap, sleazy, classless way to go, and all she's going to do is continue with her bullshit ways. And trust me, she and Hillary will keep the lines of communication open.

13. I read your post after I made mine
What you wrote is how I feel. It goes for both Clinton and Ferraro. I'm profoundly disappointed.

11. This is really a sad day
I'm not feeling any joy. Hillary and Ferraro are two accomplished women but they're acting like 9 year olds. They've been a real embarrassment. All the women I work with are extremely angry about this because they reinforced all the negative stereotypes we fought so hard to overcome. I wish I felt like celebrating Ferraro's departure but I'm too angry at what they've been doing and sad about what could have been.

Next time get a respectable woman like Boxer up there. Bad people need not apply.

12. To think that a woman of her stature would sink so low
but then we've had a lot of new lows coming from the Clinton campaign. In the future, whenever I hear Ferraro's name, I'll no longer think of 1984, I'll think of her racist remarks.
