Dean is the greatest hero because he lost ... Hillary there are other ways to become famous |
|

I was just reading some other blogs when I came upon this thought about why Hillary should really consider dropping out. My best example if Howard Dean.
The 50 state strategy; raising the Democratic party from the ground up. The Democratic party now represents the Democratic Party of the ENTIRE UNITED STATES!! I believe there will be no chapter in history books about the next President that does not mention Howard Dean and his will to make the changes he sought. This, was only made possible after the Democratic party shucked him aside for more "electable" candidates. Every Democrat running for President in the mid west must invoke the name of Howard Dean.
Man, I gotta tell you I hurt when he dropped out; but, what we are seeing now is the "Revenge Of Howard Dean and the Deaniacs"...the movie.
The one thing that made Howard Dean's transition to the DNC Chair was that he was not owned by the corporations. I have to admit that might be a problem for Hillary.
I believe that Hillary fears becoming Geraldine Ferraro part II. An bitter aging woman that given the chance to excel spit on everybody that got close. If Hillary wants to truly make history, champion a cause like Howard Dean.
Next, look at Al Gore. He's now a Nobel Peace Prize holder. Internationally recognized! These are not "2nd choices"; these are what REAL leaders do when the initial path is closed off.
Real leaders make their claim to history. Hillary, find your cause and make your stake. The entire world looks forward to it. Geraldine is the last of her kind.
FYI: I live in just north of West Palm Beach .... FLORIDA.

3. Really? The DNC Chair that alowed the Florida and Michigan Debacle? He should have STOPPED that. |
|
It was his job. He will not go down in history for his 50 state strategy but for allowing or attempting to disenfranchise two states. I know it isn't entirely his fault and the states participated in this, but he is Chair and "the buck stops there".He couldn't control the states.

5. or he could have punished the state superdelegates without |

punishing the voters. All the state superdelegates and the DNC superdelegates should lose their voting privilege since they had no problem depriving the voters of theirs

10. The prospect of depriving Florida voters in particular |
|
makes me spitting mad.
Are we so admiring of GOP tactics that we screw over Florida in 2008 after the GOP screwed them in 2000 and 2004?

7. That is the spin of the Hillary campaign. It is untrue, it is a lie. |
|
It is because he stood up and did his job, and Hillary and Bill will have his head for it if they can.
Saracat, what has happened to you? You have attacked him for the 50 state plan, saying it hurt your state. You say he hurt someone running that you knew.
Your attacks don't make sense because you know politics.
Nelson is on assignment against Dean...everyone knows it. It is not said, but it is understood. His staff is worried Nelson might lose if he keeps on.
You should be ashamed.

The states knew what would happen if they moved their primaries up to far. The DNC didn't just make those rules for fun, they were going to be enforced. I don't think Dean wanted to do what he did to Michigan and Florida, but the Florida and Michigan legislatures have themselves to blame for this fiasco.
Also, I really don't understand why Florida couldn't have waited another 7 days to hold their primary. They just can't do anything right in that state can they?
