From the 1st, I will say I am a Obama supporter.
First of all the decisions on how to seat Florida and Michigan are between the DNC and the state parties involved.
Florida and Michigan both knew there would be repercussions to their actions. I teach school, it is same way with my students, break a rule, there is a price to pay. Michigan and Florida knew this going in.
There is no way that seating the delegates according to the early votes is an equitable solution. The two candidates did not campaign in either state. Obama was not even on the Michigan ballot.
Florida democratic Representatives are against a mail in primary. They all oppose it. A reasonable compromise should be worked out between the DNC and the states. It would need to be fair to both candidates.
Second, what purpose is all this flaming, hate and vile ramblings I see on DU and from the campaigns. I choose to support my candidate monetarily each month, to be part of a campaign to phone prospective voters in the other states and tell them why I feel Obama would be the better candidate, and to serve as a Obama delegate to our county convention along with with 5 other Obama delegates from my precinct(9 Clinton delegates to county convention from my precinct). I would suggest if you are a Clinton supporter that you support your candidate monetarily, to campaign for your candidate in other primary states, and to support your candidate without rancor to the Obama side.
We need to pull together as Democrats. Look at the last 8 years, do we want 4 more years of Bush with McCain. Run against him with facts and figures. Obama needs to run on his platform and compete against Hillary and Hillary needs to run on her platform and compete against Obama. Talk about issues, not personalities. Surrogates for both campaigns need to focus on what vision their candidate has for our country.
Many will call me naive, and not a seasoned democrat. I say, let,s quit slinging mud and come together to support the eventual Democrat candidate. Yes, I would vote for Hillary. I hope that Hillary supporters would agree to vote for Barack. I am sorry for things said by the Clinton campaign and, yes admit there are things that have the Obama campaign has said, that I do not agree with. Quit taking our chances in November away, run a clean fair campaign and support who ever wins.
I do believe that there is a reasonable argument to the Super Delegates to support the candidate with the most pledged delegate, the most states won, and the most votes cast. I can't understand an argument against that premise would be.
