It's like a movie that you go to about a train wreck. It's a really long movie. It's unnecessarily long, as a matter of fact. You knew going in who the major characters were. You had a really good idea of how it was going to end, and you've seen enough trailers to fill in how they were going to get there but you go to the movie anyway. About 1:20 minutes into the movie, the media is just beginning to talk about them getting onto the train and you're looking at your watch thinking, "are you KIDDING ME, at this rate it's just going to be one gigantic ugly crash at the end when nobody can do anything about it, THE END."

Hopefully, this new scrutinization means that at least a few of the media realize they have a genuine duty as the fourth estate to report stories that take just a bit of courage to tell. Hopefully they have in their characters the fortitude to report what people have a right to know, even if the telling is not popular everywhere.
