Once again, in order to be a Hillary supporter, you have to "act" like a republican |
|
One of the criticisms I'm hearing of Pastor Wright is his comments that America's foreign policy contributed to 9/11. There are many so called democrats running around like Wright slapped their mother over that line.
COME ON PEOPLE. Any self respecting, RATIONAL democrat agrees with that sentiment. To act like our imperialistic foreign policy DID NOT contribute to the 9/11 attacks is laughable.
Next thing you know, Hillary supporters are going to start placing "AMURKA LUV HER OR LEAVE HER" bumper stickers on their cars.

1. to be an Obama supporter you must turn your eye away from the con - like NAFTA that |
|
Canada should not worry about, social program cost that Kudlow at CNBC should not worry about because he should not expect them to pass, and out of Iraq that will not happen because today's promise is changed when he takes office.

8. Hillary and her supporters, like bad generals, are always waging the LAST campaign... not the ... |

current one.
Every campaign is different. This one is more different than any other.

12. That is a very interesting comment. |

I believe there is much truth to it.
I think the Clintons failed to understand how many Democrats are sick and tired of republicans running the country into the ground with the complicity of Democrats like Clinton.
I also think they failed to understand the impact of the war. Hillary's failure of moral courage in voting for the IWR is probably the biggest single handicap.
They are campaigning like it's business as usual with the Dems needing to move to the middle, like Bill's campaigns.
I really think there is a blowback effect to Bush's horrible presidency. Democrats are voting in record numbers in the primaries and most of them have rejected the business as usual. IMO, the republicans don't stand a chance unless H. Clinton is the nominee and her high negatives would only be enough to make it very close.

19. Look at recent campaign history.... |
|
In 1976, many Republicans were HAPPY to be facing an unknown outsider like Jimmy Carter. They failed to recognize just how much Watergate made the American people hate all things Washington.
In 1980, Democrats were ecstatic when Ronald Reagan defeated GHW Bush in the primaries. They feared the "moderate" candidate and thought they could frame Reagan as too extremist, too warmongering. They failed to realize just how bad stagflation was hurting working Americans and how morale was very low in this country and that people were looking for ANYONE with a positive message.
In 1992, Republicans thought there was no way that a "failed Governor from a small state" could beat a President who just won a war. They failed to see the Perot thing coming and they severely underestimated how Americans felt about the economy.
In 2000, Democrats thought that facing someone like GW Bush was preferable to John McCain and that there was no way that Al Gore could lose. Democrats didn't realize the effect that Nader, as minor a candidate as he was, would have on FL and NH.
People seem to always be running the WRONG campaign for the current times. The Hillary campaign is running like its 1996. They don't realize that 2008 is something completely different than we've ever seen before.
The issues that decide the 2008 election are not even in our collective consciousness yet. Look how many new twists and turns have occurred just in the past several weeks.
We have no idea what we'll be talking about in July. Or November.

I don't see the big deal about Rev Wright's words.
About the only problem I have is with a Church sermon supporting a political figure. I've had that problem with Republican Pastors --and I have the same problem with Wright.
The other stuff? Meh.
Doesn't really reflect on Obama to me.

They have to follow their leader who started doing this when she came in 3rd in Iowa. Can you imagine in retrospect the clinton war room after IOWA!? OMG!
