Remember: The only chance Hillary has left is an Obama scandal
They're frustrated because Rezko didn't stick, so now they've latched themselves to the old story of Obama's pastor. When this doesn't stick (lets face it, if it had legs we'd know by now, its a non-story outside of DU) they'll go back to bashing Michelle or yelling about Obama's neighbor's mother's yoga instructor.

To the Obama supporters who bought into the hype, calm down and weather the storm. This is going away in less then 48 hours. Its an old, legless story that the republicans can't attach themselves to because they have Hagge and Robertson.

It will be on The View, GMA, Today Show etc tomorrow... this will SINK Obama.... and YOU should be happy that it is happening now rather than in the GE.

Down is up,up is down, right is left, left is right and the moon is made out of green cheese. THEY are the only ones who are right......about any subject pertaining to St. Obama.Let them find out on their own. It's NOT going to go away. The rightwingers are the culprits, but it will be Hillary who will get the blame. Be ready for it.

and the ties between Obama and Wright are being downplayed. (as they should be.)

And this isn't "old news" It has been rumoured but this is the first time the videos were used. This is bad and BTW, Rezko isn't done yet.And McCain does not have Hagee or Robertson as his pastor and spirititual advisor. Obama dedicated his book to Wright and Wright married him and baptized his kids. He dedicated audacity of hope to Wright.Wright gave the Jerimiah T Wright Award to Luis Farakan in acknowledgement of his being a "great man". This is not nothing. This is BAD.

I am marking my calendar for April 15th. Happy tax return disclosure for Hillary and her crew. Seriously, when I saw how all this hit DU like a shit storm last night right after Keith's special comment I just laughed. It reminds me of my four year old trying to get the last word in after I pissed her off by telling her to go to her room. Those straws some folks are grasping are becoming few and far between.

Obama's wife said she had never been proud to be an American in her adult life, until now. (Now that her hubby is running for President of the country she never was proud of)

His preacher of 20 years who married him and his wife and baptised his children (pretty close relationship, wouldn't ya think)? says the government gave people aids, they were responsible for 9-11, he took the Lord's name in vain in CHURCH,no less,he is a racist and God knows what else is on all the rest of the tapes. It will all come out though. It's just getting started. Blame everyone but Obama. and scream about Hillary. Who cares? The tide is just starting to turn.

The video is killer stuff. Preacherman is truly hateful and seems to hate white people, while asking that his friend, Obama, be elected President to rule over a mainly white country.

Doesn't exactly give the citizenry a sense of comfort and confidence.

48. Rezko didn't stick? That's what you think. Let's just say it's in limbo for now.
The worst for Obama hasn't even begun to come out. Every day we're hearing more and more about his lack of judgment. That just doesn't bode too well for you guy, Wolsh. Sorry, but I think he might be close to finished.

50. Yes Rezko didn't stick
another example of Hillary blowing her load too soon when nothing was really there.

64. Obama's from Illinois.
It's not a matter of "if" he'll have a scandal. It's "how many of them" there are.

I'm counting 3 so far--and Rezko isn't the damaging one. Wright is fairly damaging. Getting other state senator's legislation handed to him so he could "sponsor" it through the state legislature is Illinois hardball at it's best (worst).

How about consorting with Republicans? Are they all "Repukes"? Or are some of them redeemable when they come in contact with him? Or are there times when even individual Republicans can have benign or even flatout positive traits?

And what other scandals are coming--because they will be coming. And they'll make Whitewater look like a Freshman composition paper.

67. Hillary's best chance is to appear calm while Obama blusters.
The super delegates will see her as more mature and better able to handle the right wing attacks which are being waged upon both her and Obama as the GOP continues to smear him and blame her for each smear by having Drudge, Bob Novak and the Moonie Times say "Hillary did it. Hillary did it.". If Obama continues to be unable to recognize when attacks are coming from the right or when he---heaven help us---pretends that attacks from the right are coming from Hillary---experienced Party regulars will see this as a sign of immaturity and short sightedness which will make them tend to worry that he will not be able to carry on a winning campaign against a well financed highly sophisticated GOP machine.

Mature party officials remember 1972, CREEP, the attacks on Muskie and the Democratic Party. They know Rove studied under Atawater. They recognize the Buchanan style that Rove is copying. Bill and Hillary recognize this, too. The only people who do not seem to recognize it---or who pretend not to recognize it because it allows them to blame Hillary during the primary---is Obama. This will not win him friends among the super delegates who do not take kindly to splitter politics.

70. Maybe the Hillary people should just start making up phoney scandals, like the Obama people do.
Edited on Fri Mar-14-08 05:51 AM by Perry Logan
They could then put all the debunkings of their bullshit accusations on ignore--like the Obama people do.

72. Have you convinced yourself yet that Hillary recorded those video tapes?
My new journal "The Right Wing Media v. Obama" shows that the same people who call Hillary a lesbian-witch-bitch have been ranting about that Church since the middle of last year.

77. They ran the story on a news dump day.
Friday is always like that for the media. Something new will come along on Monday and no one will be talking about this anymore.

They can't really hold Obama too close to the fire as long as Hillary is in with Coe and The Fellowship.

...has Obama ever blustered?

The MSM knows that if they hang on this for too long, they risk awakening Sharpton, etc...

They would rather have the juicier story of Obama v McCain.

Their desperation shows. They know their only hope is to scorch the earth and hope for a miracle.

As for Rezko, one word to shut up every Clinton supporter: Hsu.

If they wanna bring up Rezko? We'll just bring up Hsu.

Let's not forget Geraldine and the fact Clinton didn't distance herself from her the instant the whole thing blew up.

For every scandal the Clinton Crony Crew dreamed up, the Obama Squad can throw it back at them and go one better.
