FLOWERS PUTTING CLINTON PHONE CONVERSATIONS UP FOR BID

Gennifer Flowers is putting the tapes of her recorded conversations with Bill Clinton during their 12-year affair on the auction block, Vegas Confidential learned Monday.

Flowers, who came forward during Clinton's 1992 Presidential election campaign with details of the relationship, said she decided to part with the tapes after renewed interest surfaced. She was offered $5 million by a Japanese collector in the 1990s, she said.

Asked about the timing of her announcement coming out as Hillary Clinton continues to slide in her presidential bid, “I don’t need to hurt Hillary. She is doing a fine job of that herself, along with her idiot husband. Karma is an interesting thing. If these two don’t get elected, and they are a team, it will be karma coming back to visit them. It's about time."

When President Clinton denied the relationship during his presidential campaign, Flowers called a press conference played what she said were secretly recorded phone conversations.

"These are the tapes I brought forth as proof," she said.

Flowers, who lives in Las Vegas, sued Hillary Rodham Clinton, George Stephanopoulos, James Carville and other, accusing them of orchestrating a campaign to discredit her. Carville and Stephanopolous claimed Flowers doctored the tapes.

Flowers, 58, said she has kept the tapes "very safe all these years and I just recently received more interest and I said 'why not?'

"I certainly would enjoy the money for my future security. I don’t have any guarantee what might be coming," she said.

Flowers is also exploring a new book with "explosive story additions to the Clinton affair," her publicist Bruce Merrin said in a release. The book "will contain a special item which must remain a protected secret until the book is published."

Flowers has never been debunked, by the way, and Bill was forced to admit he had an affair with her in a deposition in 1998 in the Paula Jones case. Bill's affairs in the 90s and alleged affairs since he left the White House with Lisa Belzberg and Belinda Stronach will likely come out in the GE and destroy Hil's electability -- especially after the Spitzer Fiasco.

I just read an interesting blog entry about Hillaryis44.org which accused the bloggers of the site of creating false advertising click-through.

Each time a page is loaded at hillaryis44.org, the entire html page is loaded in your browser. At the end of each page, in the 'footer' area, is a java based script. This script specifically generates 'onclick' events for each and every link in the 'u' document where the html redirect links are located before anyone clicks on them.

...

In the above script we see that it determines that it is bulding an http referral string in order to send a message to the 'onlick' tracker that the links in the 'u' document have been clicked.

So, in short, hillaryis44.org appears to be a site dedicated to scamming Hillary Clinton supporters into generating advertising revenue for the domain owners by clandestinely counting hits to links that no one ever clicks. They make this appear legitimate to whomever is paying for advertising by having a significant and consistent amount of traffic to their site.

The DU thread that you said you read has a number of explanations.

It pretty much boils down to ignorance and/or incompetence by allowing a malware exploit through using old HTML creation software; or intentional fraud.

The site owners have (I understand) been notified. Yet the code is still there. Again, this points to either ignorance/incompetence, or intentional fraud.

I'm not saying which explanation is correct. But the site owner needs to get it cleaned up ASAP. The fact that the redirect code exists is not in dispute - you can simply go to the hillaryis44.org front page, and view the page source. You don't have to be a genius to spot that 1/2 of the HTML on that page are stealth redirects in order to generate ad revenue.

The right wing is already developing a paper trail about this, and we can't just close our eyes and make it go away.

Flowers alleged back in the 90s that Bill told her that Hillary is a lesbian. More recently, the rw blogosphere is repeating rumors that Hillary is having a relationship with a senior staff member, Huma Abedin, who also happens to be of Pakistani descent and whose mother is a prominent Muslim scholar in the middle east.

Of course progressives don't care whether Hillary is a lesbian or not. But the way this swiftboat campaign is alread developing, it's going to be impossible for Hillary to disprove it. Or worse, she's going to be force to say something like, "I did not have sex with that woman, Ms. Abedin..." which will bring back all the Monica fatigue of the 90s.

Flowers was the main source of the lesbian rumors of the 90s, and the fact that she is resurfacing now is no coincidence. Notice the timing: this so called "explosive" information is not going to be about Bill, whose personal life is now irrelevant. This is going to be an attack on Hillary just in time for the election if she gets the nomination.

Flowers is probably peddling this now, however, because if it becomes clear that Hillary can't win, then Flowers allegations become irrelevant and her book's value dwindles to nothing. She is firing this out now before it becomes worthless because she is worried Hillary won't get the Dem nod.

If Hillary does somehow pull it out, though, she cannot win election in the middle of a swiftboat campaign claiming that she has a Muslim lesbian lover.
