How can anyone think the Michigan vote is fair? Elections are about determining the people's WILL |

Since the main set of choices were not on the ballot in Michigan, how can anyone consider this a FAIR election? Democracy is about the WILL of the people, and that means they must be presented with the full slate of options. The election in Michigan did not have Obama on the ballot, so may of the people there could not express their WILL.
We can should take all this talk of rules and regulations and set it aside. The real issue is that the WILL of the people of Michigan (and Florida) must be heard. Michigan clearly needs a revote for this to happen. (I personally think Florida needs one too so Obama and Hillary can fairly compete, but that's a separate issue).
Can we all at least agree the Michigan vote needs to be redone to express the WILL of the people there? Is that not the essential essence of our Democracy?

1. I want re-votes, too. That's the only acceptable and fair solution. |

3. I agree. It just outrages me that some people could say "tough luck, those are the rules" and.. |
|
completely ignore the democratic foundations of our government. Having "rules" beat Democracy is the anti-thesis of what our country stands for. Both candidates have not done as well as I'd have liked in this regard.

2. Yeah, but it won't be a "re-vote" in MI |
|
It will be a first vote. It's pretty clear that the people can't express their will if the candidates aren't on the ballot.
