Women suffer too but should they be happy about the sexism. Can we at least relate here. There have been many passionate posts on this board on how there is maltreatment of women in society. When you see that pastor so upset it is the same hurt that put upon women must feel. There is hurt in both these groups and if anyting from all I have read on sexism via this board, you can at least feel some empathy.

Because until America relates to each others pain for whatever reason nothing will be resolved and denouncing just makes the hurt more. Just as when sexism is not addressed. Two worlds have collided this election but they are not 2 greatly different stories in total.

1. The real problem is "god damn America" and blaming US for 911.

3. Yes I can, but alot of that stuff was over the top,
gyrating sexually behind the pulpit, swearing, hating on America (which most people here on DU can agree with most of the time) but the general public which is the vast majority will be turned off by it and wonder why he continued to go to this church for over 20 years.

5. I am not disagreeing that racism exists as well as sexism, but
that minister is on the fringe and Obama was inspired to write a book by one of his sermons. You cannot make this go away using this tract. If this was someone who was on the fringe in O's life, yes. But this is a man who is Obama's mentor, spiritual advisor. You have got to face reality that the vast majority of Americans are going to find this offensive. I do find his gyrating behind the pulpit offensive, his use of curse words in church is offensive too. That really has nothing to do with racism in this country. I don't besmirch the reverend for saying Hillary doesn't know what it's like to be black, but the way he says it and using the N word is not helpful. I just can't believe this goes on in a church. What would MLK say, was this his message, I don't think so.

6. What if Hillary's pastor and long-time mentor
made a speech in which she declared, "G-d Damn MEN," and said that 9/11 was a wake-up call to men to start treating women better? What if this mentor of Hillary's said that women get AIDS because men conspired to give it to them? It would be a disaster for her campaign, especially if Hillary had named her as the person she looks to as her moral compass. The media would be unstoppable in their coverage and outrage.

7. What's wrong with LIHOP/MIHOP anyway?
This is routinely discussed around here.

God damn America. I said it, I'm feeling better already. Big deal, no problem. I'd say just get over it.
