Conduct your own Dean poll. Wherever you are. Pick 10 or more |
|
people at random that you meet. Ask them "Would you consider voting for Howard Dean for President." You will get some questions: "who?", "what does he say/stand for", etc., but politely repeat the question, like "I really can't go into detail right now, would you care to say if you'd consider voting for him?" I did this yesterday and today when I was in town running errands (Wagoner, OK) about 25 people. I'm not going to reveal just yet what I found (did not take notes or record specific responses) but it was very interesting and I believe I have enough information to make a fairly accurate assesment. Next week I will pick another Democratic candidate and repeat the experiment. Anybody wanna play?

2. LOL I think you just gave away a major polling secret |
|
"who?"
"I really can't go into detail right now, would you care to say if you'd consider voting for him?"
Now THAT's what I call scientific!
:silly:

8. Haha, not sure if you're being sarcastic, but finding out whether the name |
|
is recognized or not is a little bit scientific, isn't it? ;-)

|
You have to wonder if the corporate polls are all that different ;)

wouldn't quite work the same here, I would guess. Am in a college town and many folks one might select randomly would know several (if not all - maybe not by name, however) of the candidates. We are not terribly representative of the state, however I would say that we are representative of the party in general. So - perhaps it might be fun to try this out here.

...and at least 5 people noticed my Dean sticker on my flight bag and remarked positively re Dean. They sure all knew who he was. One of the individuals was a very well known actor who was travelling with his wife.
They are Dean supporters. :-)

15. you know, I did that! |
|
I must have asked 2 or 3 hundred people at First Night... maybe it was 2 or 3 thousand...er million, yeah it was 2 or 3 million. I asked them what they knew about Dean and if they would vote for him. 100 percent said he was great and not only would they vote for him but they believed he would kick the ass of every other democrat in the race and then Dubya a few months later.

It agrees with my findings, about 5 percent, or 50, no, 100 %. Somewhere in that range. ;-)

19. Did this in the South over Christmas - no Dean voters |
|
Not one, and they were afraid for their congressman, too, that he would lose in the ensuing landslide. All good Dems.
