3. Do you think most of us are sick of the slime politics that has become
this campaign? Is America trying to signal us that the scorched earth, slash & burn gutter politics of personal destruction are passe? Could it possibly be that they're signaling the Gerry Ferraros and Mark Penns to cut it out? I certainly hope so.

7. I think so.
I think Democrats want a nominee and realize it ain't going to be Hillary. I don't expect Obama to start really blowing her out, but if he stays, on average, 8 points ahead of her the next six weeks, she is in trouble. You'd think, with her big "wins" last week, she'd have tied him in the national polls, but she hasn't.

5. Great info. Thanks.
Funniest (and scariest) line in the article:

A Rasmussen Reports look at the race suggests that John McCain may be the luckiest man on the planet since Ringo Starr. Both McCain and Starr were in the right place at the right time and everything broke their way.

8. Ferraro backlash: Gallup has Obama up 50-44
Gallup Daily: Obama Leads Clinton 50% to 44%McCain presents stiff competition for Obama and ClintonUSA Election 2008 Gallup Daily Americas Northern America PRINCETON, NJ -- Barack Obama leads Hillary Clinton in national Democratic nomination preferences by a statistically significant 6-percentage point margin, 50% to 44%, according to Gallup Poll Daily tracking interviews from March 11-13.

This is the largest advantage either contestant has had in the race since late February. Obama had a strong showing in Thursday night interviews, which added to his slim lead in interviews conducted Tuesday and Wednesday gives him his current 6-point margin.

Obama attained a 5-point lead in tracking interviews from March 7-9. However, he did not sustain this lead beyond that one three-day period, and the race reverted to being roughly even. Obama's current margin reflects two days of interviewing subsequent to his victory in Mississippi Tuesday night.

15. Its sad when Hillary will never see 50%, even among democrats.
Yet she will try to bring the winner of this primary down to her level.

16. You miss the real story
Obama and Clinton both led McCain by 5 or 10 points a couple of months ago. Their supporters are so concerned with winning the nomination that they lost sight of the presidental race. Especially when one of the Democrats tells the country that McCain is more qualified than her Democratic rival.

19. I suggest that
the two Democrats stop all mudslinging and just debate issues like rational adults until the primaries are over.

don't want to go near that sink. I'd suggest buying a new one, that one's ruined.
