Recommended Response to Email Smears on Obama - weeks of work on this by many people

After much debate and input by many people, the link is to a model response to the emails that are smearing Obama. The recommended email includes factual links.

It is requested that everyone send this back as a "reply all" to anyone who you see received the viral smear. This is particularly important because a new Wall St. Journal/NBC poll found that 13% of Americans think Obama is a Muslim. (Not that there is anything wrong with that.)

The newest trick in the Obama smear emails is to claim that the person who wrote the email checked out the facts on www.snopes.com and found that they are true. That is a blatant lie.

4. I have helped friends send rebuttal emails re Obama

even though I was supporting Edwards and now am supporting Clinton.

I don't know why people fall for that email, but I know several who have (well, a couple personally, and one was a friend of a friend who sent the email to her). So I gave them everything they needed to push back. They are Obama supporters, BTW.
