1. Even if The Coffins Are Never Shown Again
the issue has been raised into the public awareness.

14. That CNN question appears designed to be confusing
I bet many people who read that question quickly mistakenly pressed "No," but really meaning "yes."

6. This question concerns me
It is not my understanding that the government can allow or disallow the showing of the coffins. I was under the belief that they had strongly requested pictures not be shown and had refused access to photographers. The gal in Seattle who took the pictures published in the Seattle papers did nothing illegal and can not be prosecuted under the law. She can only be fired and punished by our government though covert means by their requesting her termination from her employer who is a government contractor.

I don't like how this question was worded at all-but that's typical for me with most polls.

8. FAUX also has a poll on this subject
Edited on Fri Apr-23-04 12:11 PM by AntiCoup2k
And for FAUX, the results so far are actually surprising.

http://www.foxnews.com/

Some network/media outlets are showing flag draped coffins of our dead soldiers coming home:

a. Those photos should never be shown on TV
(34%)
10,447

b. This is part of war -- Americans should not have the news censored
(49%)
15,135

c. The photos should be shown on TV but viewers warned first
(10%)
2,919

d. These photos shouldn't be shown but I watched them when they were aired
(2%)
748

e. None of the above
(5%)
1,641

So even on the official state media propaganda channel, a total of 59% believe that censoring the coffins is wrong.

Hell, that's encouraging, I guess

18. pictures can be dangerous
The Bush Administration policy against showing the coffins indicates how fearful they are about any truthful reporting on Iraq. A series of awful Vietnam images helped turn American public opinion against that war. There must be other Iraq images that are still withheld. This administration's lesson from Vietnam is that censorship needs to be imposed on the media.

22. THis is the most absurd polling question I've ever seen
The NEW question of the day?

Fallujah: Continue to negotiate, or attack?

How do you answer yes or no to that?

Attack!

Who cares about civilian casualties? We haven't cared before, why should we start now? We are on a mission from Gawd. We are the new Rome!
