I think you're also setting up a strawman here - most of the remarks I've seen on the Wright situation are expressing concern over how this will be percieved by the American public - and whether or not it will have an effect on Obama's chances in the general election - there's not a lot of people "painting Obama as some radical, Jew-hating, Farrakan supporter".
