This Wright thing is way overblown
You guys are acting like it is the end of the democratic party. Just chill out.

If this guy becomes a liability, Obama will just denounce and reject his views and move on. It might be played out for a few days, but then media will move on to the next hot story. People will get tired of this and will focus on the next hot media story.

The republicans have so much shadier people in their party, and they always manage to survive similar incidents just fine. This will be blown over as long as Obama handles this a appropriate manner, which I am confident he will do.

What the democrats need to do to win is to not let the republicans scare as. We lose elections because we are so afraid of what the republicans are going to do, we come with calculated answers to everything which makes us look disingenuous, instead of someone who is a real leader that stands up for what they believe. As long as Obama stays true to himself and connects with the average american, this will be a non issue.

Most people are so cynical about politics these days, that they really won't think to much about this Wright scandal. The only ones who will care are strong republicans anyways.

4. I agree, I don't understand all the hysteria over this story, either. In another week, the media
will be on to the next "scandal" or hooker story.

6. That would be BO superdelegate Kwame Kilpatrick and the dead hooker story.
It's breaking right now.

11. Until October. That's when the 527 ads will saturate the airwaves.
And Obama won't be able to do shit about it then. But, you say, he's already dealt with that issue! It won't matter. The ones who aren't listening now, will be listening then. And they won't be listening to Obama's explanation.

if they thought it would help their dying grip on the party?

15. It was going to be made into an issue
Better to have it out in full force now, rather than hearing about it in the late summer and fall.

16. What we need to do is just stop talking about it
and that includes these meta/derivative threads. From one piddly blog to another, to the eyes of disembodied, pontificating heads, to the editorial columns they write, to page one and news at 11...
