18. You know what? After supporting the Obama the way Kerry has, I take back what I said.
Thanks for setting me straight.

I guess I'm still smarting from our loss to Chimpy and thought Kerry could have EASILY done more to repel the cheapshot attacks on him. I mean look at the mess we're in!

But I do see your point and I'm ready to let that go. This time around, things are going to be a lot different. Look how Obama is staring down the bullshit artists who would defame his reputation. You gotta love it!

Peace out.

21. We as Democrats have all learned from Kerry's experience
That even attacks that sound absurd need to be responded to. It used to be the CW that it was not a good idea to dignify crazy attacks with a response...the Internet and the 24-hour news cycle have changed that.

10. Axelrod and Plouffe learned from the Kerry campaign's mistake
Let's be grateful that Kerry blazed that trail first (as unfortunate as it was at the time), and showed us that the way to go is definitely the "bull by the horns" technique. I am also grateful to Kerry that he is working extremely hard on behalf of Obama. A truly great Dem.

I think Obama's fellow supporters should be grateful that he has some good surrogates and people in his camp who are doing good (i.e. focusing on Dean's 50 state strategy, grassroots, etc). There is always room for improvment too. :)

This is a smart move by the Obama camp. :)

Guess that's why he remains ahead in the delegate count, states won, and popular vote.

13.6 million voters did not let the rumor mill sway them.

Obama's integrity speaks for itself - and he will win because he is who he is.

34. Conspiracy Theory: I'm starting to think that the Obama camp leaked this.
It was going to come out eventually, you must know that. There was no way to destroy those videotapes and it would have been foolish to be caught trying.

The timing of this is perfect. No primary anywhere in the near future and tons of time for this to blow over and/or be dealt with.

If it were from Hillary's side, wouldn't it make more sense to drop this bombshell just before the PA primary?

If it were from the GOP, wouldn't it make sense to keep this for the general election?

And hey, at least everyone on this country will now hear that Obama is Christian...on CNN, FoxNews and MSNBC no less!

There is still time to inform and educate Hillary supporters,as we know that most of them don't hang out on the internet, are not activists.

Wishing barack to go away as the only way that Hillary can win is sounding dangerous for Barack at this point.

Honestly, this particular forum is just an amusement for me. My choices are long gone (Kucinich and Edwards). The rest of DU is great to read and to get meaningful info from. GD-P...not so much. But, it is great for flat out hilarity from many on both sides. Each day is a new outrage, a new proclamation of the end for one or the other, and hyperbole that would make Condi Rice blush. It's like the Three Stooges morphed into a hundred stooges and got internet access all at once.
