I believe those polling numbers can not be used to gauge the populace. If anything, those numbers are being used to draw people into the media. I'm noticing news stations throwing bones here and there of the truth, then they suddenly take a hard right. They know liberals are turned off, they just try to disguise the fact that they are trying to maintain Bush's base. That's why most of the wing-nuts still believe the media is liberal. Misinformation and inconsistency works very well.

It even works on most of us by psychologically convicing us of what the country as a whole feels politically. We liberals feel a disconnect with each other... so we gather here.

3. My theory

Since they have no military experience at all, they don't understand the concept of service. They think that you serve your country by making the world hate you and bullying everyone around. Plus, they have no other way to deal with the fact that this November, of the two people on the ballot, only one of them has risked their life for America.

Whether he wants it or not, he actually does have some credibility even though it is a fake news show. Of course, he would never admit it.

First, regardless of how Kerry received his PH's, the Navy said he deserved them. It is pretty stupid to go up against every vet this nation has. Every one of us know a PH is awarded for combat wounds, death in combat or POW status, (usually, POW's will have been wounded to wind up in that situation). Yes, there may be the occasional REMF that gets one, but in almost every case, it is earned. I have my doubts about the 8 that were awarded for the guys in the Berlin disco that got blown up, and Reagan wanted to do something militarily, but that is a different story.

Bottom line, bush received NO awards as a pilot in the TxANG. He didn't even finish his time. This is where I see such a glaring hypocrisy.

With the exception of Powell, where are the real warriors in this administration? These guys play w/maps and toys, never thinking that blood is being spilt by their hands, is American blood. They have no conscience, either individually or collectively.

Many came back from Nam w/o medals and glory, 58,000+ came home in bags and coffins. We do not want this to happen again; we cannot allow this to happen again.

This war is not about Democracy and Freedom; it is about greed and profit. Every drop of American blood that is spilt over there, drains this nation of its freedom and dignity; each time one of these soldiers bleed, we all bleed. And don't even start me on the innocent Iraqi and Afghan lives that have been lost....:(
