While I may disapprove of what you say, I will defend to the death your right to say it.

This is still America (I think).

People can say whatever they please.

Even my friends.

It doesn't mean that I agree with them.

Sweet Jesus I hate politics.

1. Thank you.
RE: The Republican Party.

It's not so much what they SAID, it's what they DID to our country.

Actions do speak much much louder than words.

2. So much outrage -over all the wrong stuff. And so many of us fall right into it every time. Sigh....
By the way, checked your sig line link - excellent. Hadn't seen that before.

3. It's fear.
So many are SO afraid of losing to the GOP - AGAIN.

It's a valid fear... but we can't predict how things will play out, so all the panic IMO is silly.

5. Well now. Fear of losing again is a valid fear as long as votes remain unverifiable -
as they still do in the most important areas.

Now THAT'S something to be outraged about and we could all be doing it TOGETHER in order to facilitate continued attention and pressure instead of snarking at each other over our own candidates!

7. Well this forum is for the primaries.
There's an elections forum as well... and it's brimming with frustration. :(

10. You're right.
But the election forum feels so sequestered away from where most DUers are talking most of the time. I guess I just like to keep tossing that problem into every conversation I have since I don't feel like anything is more important than that.

This forum, for primaries only, is a new experience for me. It feels so divisive and destructive lots of the time. And it's sad that it may be a strategy meant to have us targeting each other that appears to be working. Reminds me of my Dad's favorite warning about trying to unite Democrats is like trying to herd cats. We have so much power now if we could only unite and focus.

Tx.

4. No
It is no longer "America."

We're going to have to fight to get it back.

6. Well then let's fight together, against the machine, and not each other's chosen candidate. nt
