Evangelical lobbyists' influence on Bush 2004
Phillip James of The Guardian says:

<snip>
Evangelical lobbyists used to talk about access to previous Republican administrations. Today, they can say with confidence: "Who needs access when we are already on the inside?" Today, they can say with confidence: "Who needs access when we are already on the inside?"

The influence of the Christian right on the Bush White House is self-evident. As well as George Bush, cabinet members Condoleezza Rice, John Ashcroft and Don Evans all consider themselves to be born again.

This administration has embarked on a bold agenda to roll back liberalism in the US, and won't let up if it gets a second term.

The September 11 attacks, Afghanistan and Iraq have overshadowed Bush's conservative domestic agenda, but it should not go overlooked by voters as we approach the November elections.

2. We can counter this menace
As Jerry Falwell once supposedly said, I may be stretching it:"Just keep your mouth shut and go vote". I am not anti-religion, but certain religious people know how to turn their preaching into a kind of 'magic' using it to numb the minds of people especially those who vote. Falwell, Robertson, and many others are all connected in some way. They can control the masses. We need to foster support, get liberal preachers to say "Go vote for Kerry!" because the power hungry Intolerant preachers AKA Christian Right are all saying "Vote for Bush!"

4. Well, Sharon is certainly setting this one up...(from the above piece)
"If Bush wins, it will mean four more years of Middle East policy influenced by the evangelical belief that the Messiah will not return until Israel rebuilds a temple on the site of the al-Aqsa mosque in Jerusalem."
