"Demonstration of peace and opposition against Bush's war will restore belief in the democracy and allow the Democratic Party to lead the presidential elections, Democratic presidential candidate Dennis Kucinich said to a crowd of about 100 Saturday at the Tivoli Turnhalle ." (It was over 200 people, but..... :))

(snip)

He said the country "has lost dialogue" and is "cycling deeper and deeper into destruction."

"We need to join in a collective effort and take the opposite direction," Kucinich said.

(snip)

According to Kucinich, the U.S. should let the United Nations direct Iraq toward a peaceful democracy.

"When our brothers are killing each other it is up to us to help them survive," he said. "I think we are going to take steps; we have to be careful of conflict."

He said this spring is a time for renewal for our country and its relationship with the world and we need to reconnect with the world community.

3. No, not personally.
It was a rather large crowd (not as big as we had hoped, though), and I didn't jump on it right away to ask a question, so it passed me by. :) But, that's OK.... I figured that the people who weren't as familiar with Dennis needed to be the ones with that opportunity.

He was rather somber that day. It was shortly after the bombing of the Mosque in Iraq, and I think that was weighing on him.

I was amazing.... all the next day I had such a deep sense of peace.
