Kerry/Communion hypocracy.
Okay, let me first say I was raised Catholic, and really don't have any spite towards the church or anything like that but... A top Vatican Cardinal said politicians who support abortion rights should be denied Communion. Well what about politicians that support WAR?? Shouldn't they be denied communion?? What about politicians that support the death penalty?? Shouldn't they be denied communion?? I don't know if the Vatican is being Bushized*, but to make one grand proclamation, shouldn't similar type proclamations be made?? I know that Shrub* isn't Catholic, but it seems like there is an attempt to draw a line between the normal everyday Catholics and the liberal baby killing Catholics, the likes of Kerry. I don't know if there is any direct influence, but it kinda seems that way...Kevin.

1. The Catholic Church has been a hypocrisy on all it's so called.
sacraments. Thats why I rarely attend any more. It's ok mass pro life rallies but you never hear of Pro life death penalty rallies or anti-war rallies by the church. They are also real stupid to attack Kerry since it will result in a mass exodus of the Dem's that attend. My Episcopalian Minister cousin tells me that he has more Catholics than ever, joining his congregation these days.

2. incredible statements from Vatican official
As a former Catholic, I am so very disappointed that the Church I grew up in has become as conservative and un-Christian as some of the right-wing protestant zealots, in expecting their members to impose their religious views on others.

Some statements from a Vatical official:

"Catholic politicians are ... not trying to impose Catholic understanding of abortion and human life."

Another zinger:

"...Arinze's full statement ... was an attempt to bring some kind of good order into the celebration of the Mass. And to diminish the role of the laity and of women."

-- Oh no, those bad awful women shouldn't be stronger participants in the Mass! Oh no!!!!!
