Working to mitigate the damage from recently disclosed sermons of bigotry and hate by Rev. Wright, his 20-year spiritual advisor and pastor, Barack Obama tried to shift responsibility today. And in the process once again played the race card.

Speaking at a town hall in Plainfield Indiana, Obama said this:

You heard some statements from my former pastor that were incendiary and that I completely reject, although I knew him and know him as somebody in my church who talked to me about Jesus and family and friendships.

If all I knew was those statements that I saw on television, I would be shocked," he said. "And it just, it reminds me that, you know, we've got a tragic history when it comes to race in this country.

Let's pause here. If all I knew was those statements that I saw on television...

1. Guess White men can't jump and Black men can dance.
The irony of your title, and the fact that this is just some post from another blog site is Hillarious!

Can't you write your own stuff once in a while?

Plainfield is 99% white, so why did he give his speech in Plainfield, Indiana. Not to mention that it is run by Fundamentalist and is 100% republican.

Does there exist a grammar that describes a language that no matter where the sentence is broken the context is still positive for the intent?

I'm going to need help from Chomsky on this. I'll bet it's undecidable ... any takers?

6. You Really Don't Get It
He's saying that Wright doesn't usually talk that way. Out of 20 years of preaching you guys have five minutes of statements that you think are inflammatory. BTW, I think Wright's statements have been correct for the most part and I'll defend both his right to say them and any-body's right to hear them.

Not only do you guys want to censor what somebody can say but now you want to censor what somebody can hear. Utterly ridiculous and deeply disturbing.

9. Reading comprehension is your friend.
If you're just going to repost something from some other blog, at least try to read it fully before expressing your faux outrage.
