3. I've Done The Phone Banking And The Door To Door Thing

but I find it hard to believe that peoples minds are changed by doing so. I know I hate to get phone calls like that and I won't even answer the door if I think it is religious or political. Not that I think posting here is changing minds either. I just wish there was something I could do that would actually feel like I was making a difference.

candidate, but that makes no difference.

There are things you can do. Go to work at the grassroots level. There are many local Democrats who need help. And I don't see many of the Congressional candidates getting much press. Many republicans are retiring. We need people to work on Congressional campaigns.

I agree about the phone calls. The ones that are starting to bother me the most are the fund raising calls. I have given money in the past, so every Democratic organization under the sun calls me. I have decided already where I am going to spend my money. My limited funds will go to our local Congressional race, and some state races.

10. I forgot one other thing.

You could be an election judge. Some areas are badly in need of Democratic election judges.

My son voted for Edwards. He is undecided between the remaining two candidates. He does not have any extra money or time. But he is able to get the time off work to do this.

Maybe these things won't turn anyone for your candidate, but they will make a difference. We are all Democrats.
