Okay, I need some clarification
What the hell is the deal about Kerry on Meet The Press? I read a blog on dean's revised site Dean For America that Kerry wants to send in more troops rather than withdraw, approves of Israeli tactics and wants to put even more pressure on Cuba and Venezuela? If true, why not just vote for Bush? Someone explain what he said sans spin, please.

1. On the Iraq thing
Bush has gotten us into this mess, and Kerry will get us out. We can't just pull out, though we never should have gone in in the first place. If we just pulled out now, an Islamic theocracy would arise, though I'm afraid that might happen regardless.

2. whoops thats a little off
Kerry wants more troops in the military so the guard and reserves can come home. He wants more International troops in Iraq

re Cuba: <snip>
MR. RUSSERT: We should keep the embargo?

SEN. KERRY: But I wouldn't just give something for nothing but I would begin to encourage travel. I've suggested that. I think that's appropriate. I think remittances might be considered and might be helpful in order...

MR. RUSSERT: But keep the embargo?

SEN. KERRY: For the moment I would like to see what we can negotiate, what we could try to move forward, and I'd like to see how the Cuban community itself might be able to build a consensus about an approach. I think that's a smart way to do it and that's what I'd like to try to do.
