The Rev, Wright controversy is clearly only an issue on DU. |
|
There has been NO mention of it in any major newspaper, NO mention of it on any Sunday Morning News show. . . . . . . . . . . . .:sarcasm: (For the benefit of the dense.)

8. It was pretty funny how she tossed it out there |

Brought it up out of the blue just to say she wasn't going to talk about it. It was so transparent. She has the political skills of a 5 year old.

My Brother-in-law is a Deacon in a large Baptist Church that is part of the Southern Baptist Convention, he called me to make sure I was aware of it and how wrong it was for anyone to support hate speech like that.
That is besides seeing it on the alphabet networks on TV.

20. They can be for sure. |
|
It still will not stop them from condemning racial hate speech. The Southern Baptists stance on gays is stupid IMO but, they base it on the Bible quote about 'man shall not lay with man' or something like that. The Southern Baptist Church here is very open to and accepting of gay members. Not many of the Southern Baptist Churches are.

Granted I'm in the UK, but I saw it on MSNBC this morning, CNN, Fox, The BBC and SkyNews those pretty much cover the new channels we get. You want me to list the umpteen online newspapers that are carrying it as well?:eyes:

It is the new "Willie Horton" ploy, they are going to use it to hurt Obama in Pennsylvania, they need the big Dems to come out and to do damage control, if not this swiftboating will continue to give us races that are run on fluff and not competency. Does the skin color of a president really matter? What is his competency to perform his duties in the Executive Office. The Republicans are going to run on this, they have no record to run on, it is another 2004 trash the opposition campaign. We need people like Al Gore and Jimmy Carter and Michael J. Fox to come out and say, these videos of Rev. Wright are given weight because of race. Extremist statements have been made by Rev. Hagee as well who supports Sen. McCain. Obama is not going to let his minister run the country any more than JFK was going to let his Pope run the country. We have seperation of church and state in this country for a reason and it is to prevent those who hold extremist views from ruling for the majority.
