About a possible Edwards endorsement of Hillary... |
|
there are rumors floating about Edwards endorsing Hillary. All over the web. Journalists are hinting about it. Many journalists hear things and sit on them till the campaigns are ready to announce them. So, I think it is likely that Edwards will endorse Hillary this week. In my defence...this is "MY personal opinion" Thank you.
I must say. I will not throw Edwards under the bus in a manner similar to the way Clinton supporters have thrown everyone from Rodes to Olbermann to Dodd to Kerry to Kennedy to Pelosi under the bus.
I like Edwards... For a while I was torn between him and Obama. I will not saying negative about Edwards and I encourage other Obama supporters to do the same. Many Edwards supporters have come to support Obama since Edwards's departure.
All I will say. Is that I will be deeply and I really mean DEEPLY disappointed if Edwards endorses Hillary. IMHO it is both political suicide(since the writing is on the wall over the nomination) and IMHO completely contrary to John's positions.... But..ohh well... I don't think it will do much about NC. Obama should still win.

I was disappointed when Gen. Clark endorsed Sen. Clinton. It didn't change my respect for the man and his opinion and beliefs though.
Nothing that says you can't do the same if this rumour is true.

I like to think endorsements, particularly when a long time in coming, are actually thoughtful, reasoned judgments. I think that when they come from someone in a position to know both candidates personally, they have merit. If someone reaches a conclusion differing from that I would wish, it makes me think. It doesn't make me assume they have gone over to the dark side.

5. Is it not too late to make a differnce? |

It would have been better if he had endorsed earlier.
I don't think he would do it after Hillary "endorsed" McCain over Obama. It has pissed off a lot of people, including superdelegates.

6. would it matter this late in the game if Edwards endorses her |

Edward was pretty much a non-factor in this election
I'd love to see him endorse Obama but I don't think its going to sway anyone now

7. I agree with your assessment of what it would mean for himi to |

endorse Hillary, and for the life of me I can't see why he would logically do such a thing. Obama and he were both talking about a grassroots movment to restore power to the people. I hear many similar themes between them. If there's nothing else I'm certain of in this race, moving Hillary into the candidacy is a vote for the status quo and the power structure.

Both times, and dont feel there is a need for him to endorse before North Carolina when he can have the most impact. He can do each candidate "some" good as in te pledged delegates he has, but he can also be a good spokesman for either. He seems more a fit for OBAMA though. I havent read a single thing that says he would endorse Hillary. The only way I can assume he would do that was if he felt she would be more likely to get through the Universal health care and threw in with her. But his message is much more OBAMA (i.e. "hope/change"). As far as Wesley Clark, I understand that, he knows the Big Dog very well and is from Arkansas so its a no brainer. Our next secretary of Defence regardless of nominee.

another look at Barack and question WHY John would do something like this espedially if there is no gain for himself in it. The ONLY reason John would do this is because he feels Barack is the wrong person for the job.Part of that may be the fact that barack doesn't suport universal health care, though his surrogates always say he does, and John may feel he must support his own health care plan but if it is sooo obvious BO is going to win, why would John endorse at all, or even consider it? I actually wouldn't be so sure John will endorse but if he does, I think it will be Hillary.
