1. he needs someone who makes Cheney looks bad (not hard to do) |
|
lieberman had it easy in 2000 when he was up against cheney but he didn't fight. i remember cheney saying government had nothing to do with the money he made in a debate. and lieberman just laughed it off. it was such an easy target cheney put out that lieberman could easily have attacked him for, even in a joking way. but lieberman said nothing.

2. I heard some pundit today |
|
CNN? But anyway, he said Kerry needs a Dick Cheney Veep, a real attack dog.
He said Lieberman was too friendly to the Repubs in 2000.
I agree with this theory completely; Kerry cannot do it all on his own. I would also like more Dems to step up & speak out, because this has gotten very ugly.

6. vps are often the attack dogs |
|
this allows the presidential candidate to appear to be "above it" while still getting the attacks out. notice this is common with bush. it was true even in the primary where he had others attack mccain on everything from his vietnam war service to his dark skinned daughter he and his wife adopted.
even al gore did good in 1992 the attack dog vp. i heard gore was kind of weak at first, but they told him it was his job and he listened and didn't hold back on the attacks after that.
so in 2000 they talked about how great lieberman was and how gore should follow his example which explained the second debate where gore and bush seemed to always agree. they made gore out to be some mean bully and therefore "unpresidential" for any little criticism he made of bush.

...made a point of citing Cheney voted for the same damn cuts that Kerry did, and in fact wanted MORE cuts than Kerry did.
At least one news network out there is starting to truth test the bullshit coming out of the Rove team, and it's high time. There's only so much lying that even a media whore can take.
Yeah, it'll be nice when he gets a VP. Let's hope it's Edwards, who won't let any of these bastards get away with a thing.

5. Edwards has that way of sticking a verbal knife in without... |
|
the other pundit knowing what hit him. LOL They see that smile and get totally confused. All those big corporate men never got to him, that's their fear. Kerry-Edwards make such a good team and God knows we need one, fast.
