2. No, it's because he sided with Bush in the tone of his speech
Instead of distancing himself from the evil man, he agreed that Bush could fight the terrorists the same or better than himself. I agree that Kerry should be nailed for that comment. It was inappropriate and should have carried a more partisan tone in an election year. For the man to even suggest that Bush is winning a war on terra' is ludicrous, insane, ignores basic facts and is yet another reason why I'm having a very, very hard time voting for Kerry. Kerry's advisers are a bunch of buffoons, Kerry needs to fire them and get back to what he does best, speaking off-the-cuff, fiery rhetoric.

3. Have you watched the whole speech yet?
I was mad at first, but then I watched the speech and that changed my mind. If you have watched it and you're still mad, that's fine, but at least watch the speech first. That one remark was hardly noticible in context, in my opinion.

7. I'll be honest, I've only seen about 2 minutes of clips
Which most prominently featured Kerry's winning comment on Bush and terra'. I'll try to get the whole thing, I hope it is as good as you say. I need something good soon, as lately I'm teetering on the edge of falling off the Kerry Wagon and walking down 3rd Party Ave.

5. I keep hoping our criticism will do Kerry some good.
Agree with sleipnir totally. Kerry sounds like Liebermann..I call Kerry's office complaining he can't take us for granted. He does not have us in his pocket.
I hope this will push Kerry to oppose this Bush war for Halliburton booty, and which is increasing not lessening terrorism..
How can any knowledgeable person not see the fury in Iraqi faces and the disdain Bush's war has caused us in the first and third world.

4. yup
but this mostly comes from pe ople who look for reasons to complain. kerry also went into length and depth about how many things bush has done wrong including foreign policy. but because he made some statement saying terrorists will lose they try to claim kerry said bush is winning the war on terror, or bush is doing great on there even though in the same speech he said the exact opposite.

10. No, that's fucking bullshit.
People are upset with Kerry because he was KISSING BUSH'S ASS, saying that Bush will WIN the war on terror!

Pitt went and made that thread of his to try to distort what we were saying. It's ridiculous.

11. And here you go
Make up whatever ridiculous argument you want, and start a thread. There'll always be a DUer who agrees with it, and another who will swear it's the truth

12. Some would have Kerry side with the terrorists before Bush.
They know who they are.

I appreciate the sentiment of total anger and resentment towards Bush, but there are terrorists out there, they are not nice people, and going easy on them in speeches is not going to get Kerry elected.
