The best defense is a strong offense... Kerry should not spend his money |
|
defending himself from Shrub's attacks. The minute he goes on the defense, they have the upper hand and we are pinned in a corner spending money answering attacks which looks very weak.
Kerry should do a better job defending himself from these attacks in interviews, statements to the press the way Dean did, or maybe an aside in a Bush attack Ad! What we need to do is attack Bush!
Kerry needs to stop agreeing with Bush on the 'war on terror' and national security. We have the 9/11 commission, we have the war in Iraq falling apart, Al Qaeda attacks in Spain. Why doesn't this man see the light and wake up and realize the reason his polls are down on the 'war on terror' and national security is because he is agreeing with Bush instead of telling the truth about where Bush has failed.
This campaign is starting to remind me of Gore 2000, is Donna Brazil part of Kerry's team?

2. Kerry's missing a golden opportunity |
|
...now that people are becoming more and more disquieted about the war in Iraq and the idiotic policies that got us into it and the lack of a coherent strategy once we were led into it. This is the time to repudiate his vote and to tell the people just exactly what he is planning to do differently. Hazy promises about getting international/UN help won't do it. People heard that from Bush, who so thoroughly outraged the international community with his arrogance that they will never help while he is in office. They don't believe Kerry will be able to do better.
He also needs to articulate an exit strategy for that country, give the US a timetable, and promise to stick to it.
He also needs to address the fact that Iraq is a terrible distraction from hunting down Al Qaeda terrorists here and cooperating with other nations to hunt them down worldwide.
If Kerry doesn't address these things, and do it soon, he runs the risk of being labeled "JUST LIKE BUSH" on foreign policy, and that would be tragic.
