Poll question: How Long Before bushco/The Media Drop The Kerry Medals Tact? |
|
We know it's going to happen. It's a losing issue for them. So, like every other bad news item that has hit bushco the past three years, this story will slip down the memory hole. We'll hear that Americans "have moved on/don't care about this/have other things to worry them." Eventually, the rw will say "we really don't know why KERRY brought up this whole controversy and opened all of those old wounds, but we think he should drop it."
So, how long before this story is buried? Vote below:

1. As long as Karl Rove thinks a large segment of Americans can be ... |
|
...distracted by this, the BushCo rePugs will keep it going. They do have to give the freepers something to cling to and not bring the spotlight on Dubya own military service record.

not as a major focus, but as one of many tidbits they're throwing into the big pile of "evidence" that "Kerry is an unsteady flipflopper who doesn't give straight answers and can't be trusted."
Notice how Gillespie yesterday threw the SUV thing into a discussion of the medals ("Kerry said he drove an SUV then said he didn't"), saying "All these issues point to the fact that Kerry...."
They'll keep amassing stupid little things like this, even if some don't "stick," and even though none amount to anything. This is exactly what they did to Gore.

3. All The Way Through to November |
|
The right-wingers will be talking about Senator Kerry's medals all the way through the November elections.
After watching the Far Right heap abuse on both John Kerry and the former Senator from Nebraska, I'm beginning to think that today's GOPster's ideal candidate is either someone who didn't serve or served far, far behind the lines.
Can you say REMF, Mr. Republican? Sure you can!
