Today's postings remind me of what's at stake, so I just made another donation to the Obama campaign
Edited on Sun Mar-16-08 03:49 PM by faygokid
(Originally, I cited CatnHat's posting, but there are many more today from Hillary supporters, so I edit so as to not leave their inspiration out.) I needed that jolting reminder about how I personally need to fight back in support of Barack Obama.

Anybody with me?

4. Good for you. I donate to such shelters, too.
And many other worthy causes. As a result, I have more than a billion (or so it seems) address labels from just about every organization across the country.

Since I watched Mom being beaten when I was a small child (long ago), shelters for abused women get special consideration. I'm also a big-time sucker for abused animals and historic preservation.

Congratulations on your donations. I am sure you donate to your candidate, as well, and that's a good thing. I'm just trying to inspire some donations for mine.

5. I will on the 25th when I get paid
I am giving $100.00 each month on the 25th.

I just wish the the Hillary campaign could do math.

It is so simple 1=1=2 It just doesn't add up.

I wish the Superdelegates would go ahead and pledge.

Barak wins, Game over, let's start on the GE.

16. I'm in ~ every time someone gives me a vile response
Edited on Sun Mar-16-08 04:49 PM by goclark
I draw a line on my paper near my computer.

Yesterday I sent him $5, today I am up to $2 and counting.

I don't mind if someone is truly and sincerely stating their side, but when they say something vile to me, I get my check book ready.

30. you are not alone --one of his biggest days was after New Hampshire
Political analysts said they'd never seen anything like it. Usually after a loss a candidate has more trouble fundraising. After New Hampshire was apparently his biggest day up to that point.

His supporters are invested in him.

I hate to quote Chris Matthews, but in Hardball (the book) he said that a politician actually gains more firm support by asking people to do something (that is, if they do it). Once that happens people are invested in that candidate. Matthews says that it's more effective than doing things for people. He said that LBJ understood this very well and asked people to support him and got a lot accomplished from their support.

26. Then I'll have to tell my Mother that he needs more money
Edited on Sun Mar-16-08 05:56 PM by goclark
My mother thinks he belongs to her,she is 89 years old.

She'll come in to my computer room and say," Do I need you to let me hit the Barack Button?"

If I tell her, "They are messing with him today, she says, "I want to Hit the Button for him right now!"

And, depending on how he is being treated, she'll direct me..."Let me hit it for $10, 20,100 -- she is wild about him."

Mom says hitting the Barack button is much better than going to Las Vegas.
