3. Kerry is all over Scum

He appears that he is not going to take any stuff. Kerry was in his face and Chris calmed down.
Now it is a commercial.

5. He is great...
He's being tough on Bush...very clear in his thoughts... He really laid to rest the medals/ribbons issue... Said the naval manual has it down as medals andlists all the ribbons/medals in one section..
This is soooo stupid...and Bush is looking even stupidier for bringing this up as a character flaw...oh please!!!

10. I saw thousands of them going to and from the Laughlin run.
I ride a motorcycle. It is just right outside my door and I will be riding in home in a few minutes.

What was your post about?

are considered risky. I think MSNBC wanted to send a negative message. Maybe not. Just my perception. They played a Bush add during the break.

I think Kerry is giving great answers.

13. Kerry looking French
Chris was saying how they were saying Kerry "looks French." Kerry said they may be surprised to know Karen Hughes was born in Paris. It was pretty good, took Matthews by surprise.

14. Sounds like he is cookin' now; if they go after Theresa, they'll
regret it. She has already told them she'll bring out the big bucks if they do.

15. I honestly thought Kerry rocked
He is really great in an one on one interview.

He seems a little less effective in speeches but I thought Gore was more of a snoozefest and a Clinton style speaker comes around once in a blue moon. Maybe I am too easy on Kerry in this respect but I can listen to his speeches.

Chris Matthews was very defensive of Kerry and seemed to really take sides with the interviewee especially on the ribbon/medal nonsense.

The foreign policy stuff was standard issue.

However, I liked the third segment and how Kerry laid out the jobs issue. That was pretty damn straight on point.

Overall, this was good stuff. Yes, especially the dig at Karen Hughes being born in Paris at the end.

Ha.

16. Agreed, and I think Chris Matthews is leaning to Kerry
In 2000 I wanted to flatten Matthews and all my Republican friends loved him. He obviously picked Bush every early and slanted everything that way the entire campaign. Plus the unnerving "will you concede the election?" crap whenever a Dem came on post-Florida.

Lately Matthews is questioning Bush's tactics and motives more and more, and letting the lefty guests speak without automatically cutting them off. Only when the name Clinton comes up does he revert and attack. Today he let Kerry roll and practically chirped in agreement on every key point, providing further ammo.

Kerry was terrific on Hardball, which bodes so well for the debates, assuming Bush does not wimp out of them. Kerry will dominate if the questioning is fair.

Kerry is "a little less effective" in speeches than one-on-one? That's like saying Phil Mickelson won a modest little tournament a few weeks ago. Kerry sucks in prepared speeches, acting as if the microphone has yet to be invented, with a bloated 19th century rambling insincere tone, complete disconnect. And potentially fatal if he does not recorgnize that flaw and soon.

17. as I quipped to a repug co-worker
"...Kerry doesn't need anyone holding his hand when speaking..."

and..."It's funny that bush* and cheney are saying support our troops on one hand, yet they attack Kerry for his service in Viet Nam -- meanwhile where were bush* and cheney during Viet Nam?..."
