Wes Clark was great on CNN defending JK against the GOP attack machine! |
|
The man exudes character and decency. I admire him tremendously.
And that damn Judy Woodruff tried her best to damage John Kerry. She is tough with the Democrats, but a kitten for the Rethugs.
Get some guts, Judy! Act like a real journalist, for once.

7. I think Edwards and Clark |
|
would have been awful tough to beat. We'd be appealing to the rust belt picking off southern states, but no no we couldn't make it easy on ourselves. Democrats just love shooting themselves in the foot too much.

He was calm and accurate.
Didn't let Judy get away with telling him that the "medals flap" wasn't coming from the administration. Wes pointed out that Karen Hughes IS the administration.

6. Woodruff is such a whore. |
|
It basically got to the point where she was saying Kerry should just quit defending himself re Viet Nam and just "take it". :puke:

Let's not forget that Senator McCain is President Bush's Arizona co-chair. I find it interesting that he wants us all to agree that both men served honorably. I will never agree that Bush served honorably. The guy can't even remember what he was doing for the last two years of his commitment.

9. Clark did Kerry Proud! |
|
Kerry has no better articulator when it comes to issues on the War on Terra and Iraq. Wes Clark cuts through all of the bullshit and doesn't mince words. He called it like it is.
Clark to Judy WoofWoof...IT'S THE REPUBLICAN ATTACK MACHINE....I.E., YOU!
Hated Judy.... Loved Wes Clark!
Can you say this interview was a TKO.....right across the face of the Right wing leaning media.
But, but, but.....Judy said, Democrats are saying that it should stop!
When did McCain and Joe Lieberman become Democrats? That's what I want to know.

10. He said, "Americans will learn that John Kerry fights back." |
|
Which he knows from first-hand experience...
All is forgiven, obviously. Clark in the past few days has offered the most sincere and effective defense of Kerry of all the Democrats I've seen.

13. He said we needed to "do it right" in Fallujah, get tougher. |
|
And he smiled. It hurt. There are 250,000+ people in that city, and we invaded them. Now Clark says we really have to get tougher.
That means to win that city there will be unknown deaths. That is nothing to smile about.

14. His comments in context: On Wolf last Thurs. before the bombing |
|
Edited on Wed Apr-28-04 06:48 PM by Gloria
started he stated clearly that the way to do it was to use house to house searches. But 3000 troops were not enough, a division was needed. He also said that firepower would harm too many civilians...he did NOT push bombing. He went on to say that this sort of thing (bombing) was part of why Arabs from all over the region were pouring into Iraq to fight Americans.
With the bombing already a fait accompli, the troops are going to go in. But the way this whole thing played out with the bombing is not the route Clark wanted to see.
