Super delegate Murtha endorses Clinton
Posted March 18, 2008 8 :50 PM

Congressman Jack Murtha, D-Johnstown, became the first super delegate to endorse Sen. Hillary Clinton since the Ohio and Texas primaries on March 4th.

In a statement released by his campaign committee, Murtha called Clinton "the candidate that will forge a consensus on health care, education, the economy, and the war in Iraq."

Murtha said he has known Senator Clinton for fifteen years, adding, "I know that she continually reaches out for opinions and ideas not just from our nation’s leaders, but from all Americans."

I'm sure there are more to come

1. I wouldn't be so sure of that. Most supers don't endorse a losing candidate.

6. I think he has been steadily losing credibility as his "motives" have
disappeared and his earmarks have advanced.

do NOT agree with him.

12. I expect this to happen. Older supers are going to back HRC. Younger ones will back Obama.
...in a very general sense.

Murtha is an old man. He's going to support the old woman.
