Maybe We Should Just Let The HRC Supporters Have The "Floor" Tonight... |
|
You know... just kick or comment on the positive Obama threads...
Cause I don't feel like I need to engage any of the... members of that group, after that speech today.
There really is no need to defend what he said. And trying to explain the profound and sublime to the willfully...um, resistant, is useless.
Just a thought.

He said his black advisers, and his wife, were excited about it. But, he said, his white advisers were nervous. Why do you suppose that was?

4. How can you defend what Reverend Wright said about Natalee Holloway? |
|
Edited on Tue Mar-18-08 11:00 PM by billbuckhead
Hillary's opponent blames Reverend Wright's bigotry on society so he doesn't have to explain going to this man's church for 20 years. It was a Checkers speech camouflaged with civil rights.

and then say you're some sort of reconciler. Oprah quit this church awhile back but Hillary's opponent put this Reverend Wright in his campaign. Shows bad judgment as well as endless phoniness about race and sexism.

41. I got the invocation of "O.J. was a bad moment in race relations" |
|
That made me flinch. Talk about playing the race card. Or the recitation of a passage from his book that describes his first service at Trinity Church. Is he trying out for preacher or president? We've already had one false Christian president, and gee, hasn't that worked out well? Certainly, Obama is no Bush, but using religion, in whatever manner a candidate does so, to get to the White House is still using it, and I don't trust it...no matter who it's coming from.

Lots of us are really sick of the trash bin that is GDP. A side note .. isn't it pretty obvious that the netroots is a significant factor in the election cycle? We have an opportunity. And isn't it true that even with the ugly side, it's pretty exciting? If it were easy, we might tend to undervalue what we have here.
With that in mind, why don't we do our part to elevate the level here in the netroots. We don't need a zillion posts to refute the uglies. We just need SOME strong threads. The past few days I have barely skimmed the topic titles in GDP. It would be great to come in here and find some healthy Obama threads to kick!
