Obama - Do As I say and Not as I Do
HomeDiariesBreaking BlueE-Wire 2008Obama : Do as I say not as I do
by jayatl, Tue Mar 18, 2008 at 10:36:27 PM EST

How is that Obama asks us to do as he says and not he does? a simple poll to ask a simple question on whether you excuse him asking american people.

1. I ask you to trust me while I was dishonest w/ the american public about hearing any anti hate speech in the pews
2. I ask of my fellow americans to act on racial issues, while I stood by and let it fly in my chur

7. Obama started this whole thing by trying to appear unknowledgable
of what Wright was really all about and what he was preaching every week. THAT moment is where Obama really screwed up everything for himself. If he wasn’t so arrogant and would have been prepared for the inevitablity of being questioned about his racist, anti-US, anti-semetic, separatist church, he (more than likely) could have sailed through it and possibly even flipped it against his opponents. But now, Obama is on a downward spiral and won’t recover.

Only arrogance and stupidity would have made Obama think these things wouldn’t have been a big deal. Even a few far left libs see this now. One good thing is that it will be fun to see Michelle really have to cool down her race-baiting rhetoric for a while.

28. Having just tried to deflect a little nastiness thrown at you upthread
I really have to say that this post and a few others you've made recently call your judgment into question.

Only a willful misreading of Obama's statements last week and his speech today could result in the absurd sophistry you quoted in your OP.

Obama didn't need to venture into a lot of territory that he very decisively ventured into this morning. But he did. And he deserves immense credit for doing so, even if you favor another candidate. If there are puerile remarks made here frequently about Senator Clinton, and there are, please explain to us - or to yourself - how perpetuating the juvenalia helps your candidate. I'm really keen to hear your response on that.

30. You're exactly wrong.
He is asking us to do EXACTLY what he has done. He reaches out to black americans from older generations, even though he himself hasn't shared all of their experiences, does not harbor their resentment, and does not agree with what they sometimes say. This is what he is asking all of us to do. Seek to understand and extend the olive branch, so that we may all move forward together.

49. notice how either answer to that poll condemns both the candidate and his every supporter?
it's called a loaded question. kind of like push polling (colbert has a great segment on it -- first vid on indecision2008.com), but "pretends" to be legit, which makes it all the more heinous and nauseating. If you really want to delve into how distrubingly fascist thinking like this is on the (il)logical level, check the link in my post above.

tho really, please people, don't keep sending a thread this useless up to the top. just quit replying and it'll wither back into the obscurity in which it belongs.

whole scale massive cognitive dissonance. every last one of his supporters. sure thing cupcake.

all i see in a statement like that are sweeping generalizations borderlining on fanatic equivocation and a severely unnecessary need to demean for its own sake, not to mention all the grit in the gears betrayed by this support for such a fascist, fallacy-ridden thread and poll.
