Wright is right and Hillary is wrong! |
|
Nothing Wright said was wrong he has been geographically and historically correct. Albeit Jesus, if he existed was not black and he was not some blue eyed yellowed haired honkey (and I can say that because I am a light tanny pink color called "white"). Wright didn't say anything a anti-war protester would not say "god damn America" for killing innocent people and starting wars based on lies.
And "god damn Hillary" for throwing this b-shit into the limelight of the Democratic revival. Meanwhile she's sucking up to some repub bunghole religious senate leader while attempting to deface truth, I can not respect nor will I respect that sort of dogged egocentric political tactic. Hillary is wrong!

2. the media is having a hay-day |
|
making mountains out of molehills and people get on the bandwagon and act like it really means something......it seems to me the media is calling the shots here. Be real what wright said means absolutely nothing in relationship to Obama's legitimacy as a candidate. I just keep thinking about Hilary in her special little prayer and scripture study group that includes the repups. and wonder really wonder what the hell is going on.

about the government creating HIV. That's absurd.
And Clinton didn't raise this issue - Wright was selling the videos on the internet! ABC went through them. You guys are a little paranoid when it comes to Clinton.

6. HIV is debatable, syphilis is not! |
|
Hillary is apparently debatable as well from source perspectives, she was sourced on CNN, FOX, MSNBC or one of those other cable stations... I heard the talking heads recite the regurgitated 20 min news cycle on the day it broke with Hillary as the source.

7. That the government created HIV is not debatable |

8. HIV has no definitive place of origin! |
|
The syphilis comment was in regard to Wright's statements about the injection of syphilis into black men by the US government as a reference to what this government is capable of; Meaning that it is not a far cry for the US government to create a biological weapon and test it out on citizens. Further, I repeat "there is no concrete evidence as to the birth place of HIV" and being so, the debate can be that the US government is culpable in the creation and spreading of HIV. I am not a promotor of that idea but I do accept the possibility.
However, Wright was right and Hillary was wrong.
And, to state even further, I do not like either candidate nor do I endorse either one. I am only calling a duck a duck.

HIV has been traced back to at least the 1950s, the United States, along with the rest of the world did NOT have the technology to either create it, or modify an animal analog(SIV, FIV, etc.) to it to make it virulent in humans. That didn't happen, period.
This doesn't mean the Government wouldn't have done something like that, they have in the past, as you pointed out, and during the 1980s, the Government, under Reagan, more or less decided to let gay men die rather than help treat AIDS. But that doesn't mean they could have done the same with HIV, simply put, no one, not even the government, knew it existed at the time.
As far as Wright's other points, I more or less agree with him, just sometimes he goes off into nutty territory.

15. Your comment suggests you might not understand Tuskegee |
|
Edited on Thu Mar-20-08 12:41 AM by Kurt_and_Hunter
It's a vague comment, but since I doubt you think the US invented syphilis, your comment suggests that you might think the government (or other agency) intentionally infected people with syphilis. If that is your perception, I am sure you came by it honestly. The facts are routinely mis-stated.
Nobody, black or white, was infected with syphilis in the Tuskegee experiment. Black men who already had syphilis were denied treatment without their consent... used as a control group, like they were lab animals.
It's shocking and murderous either way. Unfortunately, the contra-factual version distracts needlessly from the factual horror of the thing.

fuckup, then blamce obama himself.....he lied to you. he lied to america and until yesterday, Obama said the only thing controversial he knew about Rev. Wright was his stand on issues relating to Africa, abortion and gay marriage. … but a funny thing happened on the way to obam trying to fill in the hole in his soul, he lied.....yesterday, obama told a different story. “Did I ever hear him make remarks that could be considered controversial while I sat in church? Yes,” he said in his speech yesterday in Philadelphia.
