I was polled this afternoon... |
|
Edited on Wed Mar-19-08 03:03 AM by Steely_Dan
Her are the questions I can remember and the answers I gave. The statements within the quotes are comments I made to the pollster and of course, mean nothing to them.
1) Did you vote Democrat or Republican in the last election? Democrat
2) How do you rate President Bush's job performance? Poor - Satisfactory - Excellent Poor - "The worst President in my lifetime and probably in history."
3) How do you rate Congress' job performance? Poor - Satisfactory - Excellent Poor - "Only because they haven't done what we put them into office to do - e.g. impeachment/accountability"
4) If you had to choose a President today, would it be Clinton, Obama or McCain Joe Biden - (to my amazement, she accepted the answer)
5) Between Clinton and Obama, who has received friendlier press coverage? Obama
6) Recently, Clinton stated that she had 35 years experience in government. Do you think that she has the experience that she claims? No - "She doesn't have the experience that she would have you believe."
7) Do you believe that Obama has the necessary experience to be President? No - "Perhaps in four or eight years he will." "It's about time we had a person of color in that office."
8) Between Clinton and Obama, who has the better experience to be President? Refused to answer.
9) Which issue is more important, the economy or national security (or both)? Both
10) Regardless of who you vote for, who do you believe will be President? Clinton, Obama or McCain? McCain "Unfortunately."
11) Would you vote for a third party candidate...like Nader, etc. No - "Don't let Ralph within 50 feet of me, he cost us the election."
12) Do you consider yourself a religious person? Never - "Unless I lose all sense of reason, I will never be religious."
13) Do you attend church regularly? No
14) Did you listen to Rev. Wright's comments that have been airing recently? Yes.
15) Do you think Rev. Wright's comments reflect the way Obama feels? No
16) Did Rev. Wright's comments change your view of Obama? Yes. "It made me question his judgment."
17) If you had to choose between Bill Clinton and Hillary Clinton to be the next President, which would you choose. (long pause) "silly question." Hillary
18) Do you think it is more important to have the first woman President or to have the first African-American President? (long pause) "tough question." First woman President
19) Do you think that Clinton would accept the VP position under Obama? No
20) Do you think that Obama would accept the VP position under Clinton? No
21) How will you vote in the General Election, Democrat or Republican? Democrat
Then there were some general questions concerning my age, ethnicity, income, etc.
I post this not to share my answers with you necessarily. But you should ask yourself how you would answer these questions...honestly.

We must live in different worlds. Why can no Clinton supporter tell me what negative press she has gotten during this election?

4. No, you support MBNAman. |

While he is knowledgeable on foreign policy, he's kind of a jackass, no? I mean, the stuff he said about Obama being clean and articulate...how does someone survive in the Democratic Party as long as Biden has without knowing how overtly racist and offensive that kind of thing is? I guess the same way someone survives in the Democratic Party while doing the will of predatory lenders.
What exactly drives a Biden supporter, anyway? I can't get past the stuff I just said to find out what else he might believe in.

Biden is a horrible human being.
35 years serving in the Senate. Had to take a second out on his house to send his kids to college. Takes a train to work every day. His son is preparing to serve in Iraq. He is second to last on personal wealth in the Senate. Authored the Violence Against Women's Act, among others Probably the best Foreign Policy mind in our government.
Yeah, he's pretty much a waste of human space.

7. I was not aware of all that. |

Thanks for that. It's good to know, and this actually does lighten my view of him a bit, though I still don't get the credit card thing or the bizarre comments about Obama.
