What does it take to be a great president?? |
|
Why was Bill Clinton and a few others a good/great president? I am beginning to believe that in this topsy-turvy country, one has to be a smart and sly son-of-a-gun to have any hope of being a successful president. Nice guys like Jimmy Carter will fail! Dumb guys like Bush will fail!
The best a voter can do is look for such a smart sly candidate that the voter feels down deep still supports that voters ideology no matter what is said in the heat of a campaign!
Who best fits this description in this election trial??

2. Bill Clinton was NOT a great president. |

He was average, at best, and drug our party through the mud for his own sexual gratification.
Which is funny, because he ran as a progressive populist. Greenspan set him straight. :(

5. I know it. How low our standards have sunk. |

It's enough to drive a well-meaning progressive crazy.

Frankly, I don't want a great president. I detest the idea of the national identity being wrapped up in one man. I want a competent president who will be a good manager, get the Federal house in order, leave and be forgotten.
